Mr. Ng Kok Hin started his music training in the Gan Eng Seng School band. It was in the Singapore Polytechnic Concert Band where his passion of wind band performing blossomed that spurred him to become a member of the former National Theatre Symphonic Band (NTSB).

As one of the founding members of Singapore Wind Symphony since 1992, his attendance and passion for SWS has not faltered after 15 years in SWS,. Other than SWS, Mr Ng also performs, on ad-hoc basis, with the Bugis Brass Band directed by Mr Richard Adams, Head of Music, NAFA.

Mr. Ng obtained his ABRSM Grade 8 in Euphonium performance in 1987. Having been a dealer in metal supplies industries since the completion of his National Service, Mr. Ng decided to take up band directing full time in 2003. In 2004, he obtained a Specialist Diploma (Merit) in Band Directing from NIE/NTU.

Mr Ng currently directs the Geylang Methodist Secondary School Concert Band and East Spring Secondary School Military Band.
