The thing now is regarding my school band.
Or orchestra.
What ever.

We have 8 euphonium players,
Adding the alumni.

Meiting (Alumni)
Yi Hui (Alumni)
Pei Yi (Alumni)
Hong Sheng
Jerold
Esther
Guo Liang
Me

But now,
There are only 6 euphoniums to use.

8 people,
6 instruments.
Yeah.

For me,
I can bring down the KSWS one,
Like how I do usual.

KSWS has one extra eupho.
But I decided to leave it in the band room in case Wei Jie or I cannot bring down the eupho,
Or a person suddenly pops out (Choy!).

Anyway,
How we got through the concert was:
1) Guo Liang wasn't performing.
So there were only 7 players in my section.
2) I brought down the KSWS eupho like last year.

Now,
Guo Liang's coming back.
Adding the eupho I'm bring down,
There is still shortage of one eupho.




Great.




I can't think of anything,
And I wanted to discuss this with the main members.
Called Hong Sheng.
No answer.

Called Jerold,
Who was also the QM.

He wasn't even listening properly.
Kept going
"Hmm.... Yah.... Mmmm..."

After I finished explaining the situation (for like 3 times?)
He shot one question back that made me pek chek.
"So how?"

I went 'I dunno...... How?'

This went round for a few times...
After awhile,
I went like WTF?
Got irritated,
And hung up.

Oh yeah.
He told me not to borrow from MWS.
Dunno what he meant.
But also true la...
That time borrowed their eupho for so long,
(Also because not enuf instruments)
Now ask again also damn thick skin lor...
Damn PS thinking of asking also...

QM cannot help.
As a section mate,
He can't be bothered.
No point wasting breath and time right?

Nvm....

I smsed Meiting the situation,
Hoping I can get some advice or help.

I ACTUALLY wanted to ask if anyone of the alumnis could borrow or use a eupho from outside NYP,
Then remembered that none of them join the community bands or own a eupho...
Then forget it lor.

In the end,
She replied me with on brief and cold sms saying she 'got the message' and that she and Yi Hui will disappear.

My God....

I really felt like jumping down the balcony when I received her message....

I seriously didn't mean it that way.
Cross-my-heart-and-hope-to-die really.

Honestly,
I had a feeling that this would happen...
As in the misreading of the message.

My Goodness....

I seriously don't mind the alumnis.
Honestly-seriously-can-swear.

In fact,
I am always glad that they can come by for normal prac.
They give suggestions for improvement,
Highlight the weak areas,
Give us playing tips.

And when ever they appear,
The mood in my section is lighter and happier.
Hong Sheng will also start to lighten up.

Anyway,
I told Pei Yi also.
She replied me that she doesn't mind just sitting in for prac,
As in really just SIT-IN.

Wahlao eh...
That'll be so not fair...
I felt so thankful that she didn't read it the wrong way that I started weeping...

After I calmed down,
I replied Meiting telling Yi Hui and her to come down as usual,
And I'll see what I can do.
So CRM,
Damnit.

For NOW,
I really can't see what I can do...

And dunno why,
I have this feeling that my section doesn't accept Guo Liang as a section mate.
As in really don't....

I mean,
The way they forget him when naming the section ppl,
The way they see this issue...

He's just started to learn the eupho,
Yeah.
But he really is serious!
Can't you guys see?

Who can tahan 1 whole semester sitting at the sweltering walkway outside the band room for 3 hours trice every week practicing one damned excercise from the Arban practice book?
He can do this and look forward to band practice...
And he still come every sectional and band prac....

If it was me,
I'd have joined another CCA already.

His spirit makes me want to do something for him.

And the least I could do is make sure that he has a eupho for him to practise every band prac.

If not I could jolly well be condemned.
I just feel so damn disappointed in my section....
