Hello people!
Woots,
Time passes so quickly!
It's a week since the KSWS concert...
=X

The concert was kinda okay....
Really not used to sitting outside...
Hmm.
I made quite a few mistakes.
x.x

Was quite confused during rehearsal,
Cos I keep hearing 2 sides when the band plays;
The band playing very softly from my right,
And the echo reflected from the audience side...
Arrgh.

Was getting a little better during the concert,
But...
Hai.
Still not good enough la.
Really too dependent on sitting and listening to the tubas and trombones la.
Cannot, cannot.
Need to be more independent.
Jiayou!!

The audience...
Hmm...
It wasn't as bad as I feared...
I mean,
The number wasn't that great,
But it isn't that bad either... right?

This concert wasn't as tiring as the other one...
Only that I worried too much.
Haha.
Thanks for those who kept hearing me fret over the un-necessaries.

Must be tiring and bad for your ears..
Haha.
Will treat you all to coffee k.

-----
Went for NYPAW prac yesterday.
Didn't practice the Portrait of The City (Thank goodness)
Sightread new pieces because the concert was canceled due to the H1N1 outbreak.
Was a bit relieved, yet disappointed at the same time...

Sightread some songs:
March '98 (LOL),
Some symphonic piece,
Hans Christian Anderson (OMG, difficult!)

Bleagh.
My mouth had the stupid rash again (ate too much chilli).
It's terribly painful when I stretch my lips to buzz,
Not to mention putting it at the mouthpiece and playing high notes...
Played till my lips bled again...
C2pid.

Skipped KSWS prac yesterday.
Went for NP's concert after NYPAW prac.
Went down with Miki and Leon to meet Jing Si,
Tim and Denise.
Was late cos we went for dinner,
And the food and bill took quite long to come...
=X

WOOHOO!
ELISSE!

Hmm.
I just realized that no GM students are in NP band...
=X
But I DID see some familiar faces,
Other than the ones I usually see in KSWS.
Like the boy whose parents are sitting in front of me,
And Ming Tjun from Moulmein!
My goodness,
He really grew much,
Much taller the years I haven't seen him!

The concert was okay...
Jingsi was wow-ed by the 3 double basses!
xD

There was one tubist whose tone I really liked...
It's projected,
But the tone is still good...
How??
I really need to jiayou le...
=X

Their strings are actually quite good,
Given that they only picked their instruments up only about a year ago,
And that this is their 1st public performance outside NP...

The only thing that kept irritating us was that the french horns didn't come out enough...
Except for the oncore piece,
Where we could hear them properly.
Hmm.

Loved their Procession of Sadars!!
Hahaha.
:)

Met trumpet-Greogory,
Law Fat,
Peiyi,
Andrew,
Kenneth & girlfriend,
Daryl & girlfriend.
Went to laopasat to eat after concert.
Hahaha.

Ate and talked about things,
Like previous concerts and the Da Vinci exhibition that's going on till early August.
I wanna go!!!
$15 sounds like a reasonable deal...
Hmm.
Will go with Jingsi ba??
=)

Ate ice-kachiang for the first time in dunno how many years.
I was supposed to be Jingsi's,
But we decided to share one...
Hahaha.
Was super disgusted to eat the cold corn inside!!!!

WHO IN THE WORLD EATS ICE-COLD CORN?????

Till Jingsi and Peiyi told me that ALL ice-kachiang have corn...
I was like,
"EHH???"

Then they started to call me weird...
Hahahaha.

I really dunno la...
Cos my family and I dun really eat Chinese dessert...
Think that the first few times I ate
I seriously haven't eaten those for ages,
Not to mention ice-kachiang...

Was having quite a good time,
Didn't notice the time...
Talked till about 11.45PM,
Then Andrew drove us back.
=)
