The Mermaids Curse by kazanian
Bleached pale skin, untouched by the sun.
Bleeding lips a dark crimson.
Ebony hair…as black as her heart,
She is drowning slowly cause they are apart.
Her dead grey eyes cry emerald tears,
A reflection of inside, riddled with fears.
Her gills they are still, she breathes no more,
Her body drifts to the ocean floor.
When her lifeless body hits the cold sand,
She feels the touch of his warming hand.
A Deep breath is taken…she lives again,
This pain all caused by the ignorance of men.
She regains a spark, a life, a smile,
Though her heart still cries and bleeds for a while.
She known that soon he will leave,
And once again she’ll be unable to breathe.
When he is gone we hear her cry,
And wonder if this time she’ll really die.
She has a heart…. She can feel
So don’t try to tell her she isn’t real.
